Tuffy Mega toys can have up to 7 lines of seams and 4 layers of material, depending on the shape, size, and style of the toy. Two cross-stitch directions hold multiple layers together. Parts of the toys are sewn together with up to 3 rows of seams tightly held together around the edges with additional protective tapes and additional seams covering the joints of the toy. The Mega series has an additional layer of protective mesh and up to 3 layers of material of the same quality as the suitcases are made of, covered with a layer of plastic to hold the fibers together. Finally, soft fleece is used as an outer layer. The rattles are sewn into cloth pockets inside the toy. If the dog reaches the heart of the toy, the extra layers give it time for it to be safely removed. These toys are machine washable (air dry) and float.
